Betsy Reeves grew up in the small town of Lakeland, Florida where, in the 4th Grade, she won her first blue ribbon for an oil painting. Since then, she has studied art of all mediums.

Betsy graduated from a performing arts high school with a passion for oil pastel murals. Then she earned a BA in Art History as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Florida State University where she became enchanted with welding and sculpture.

She completed her studies while living in Florence, Italy and returned to the United States to work as a tour director in major cities throughout the country.

Her many trips to New York developed into a love affair and soon she made the plunge and moved to the Big Apple. While supressing her desire to be an artist she worked for five years as an event planner and graphic designer. Meanwhile, Betsy managed to find a creative outlet through floral design and learning the art of jewelry design, a hobby that was the right size for her fifth floor walk-up studio.

Finally, her passion overcame her practicality. Betsy resigned from her job and has been happily making her artistic dreams as a full time Jewelry designer in Manhattan, as well as moving to an apartment with an elevator.

All Illustrations, Mail Order Catalog & Web design, and Creative materials are created entirely by Betsy's hand. She credits patient and clever friends who serve as Copy Editors, Thesauruses, PR Agents, and Therapists.
